Birders will explore and document Superior's winter bird species All findings will be compiled and sent to the National Audubon Society to contribute to the nation's longest running community science bird project. North Shore Scenic Railroad Conductor Class
The North Shore Scenic Railroad is holding conductor classes starting Feb. 10. Classes are free and designed for beginners who want to be part of the railroad’s volunteer train crews. Attending classes Feb. 10, 11, 24 and 25, and March 16 and 17, starts participants on the path toward becoming a fully certified conductor. Join Hartley Nature Center for a volunteer Hartley Park Clean Up event on Earth Day. Participants will be picking up trash along the Woodland Avenue Connector, in the parking lot, and along old Hartley road. Rubber gloves, work gloves and trash bags will be provided.
