In this four-week workshop, participants create their own "rules" for their short story, then write and complete a revised draft. Along the way they'll study other writers and short story "rules" (including when to break them). The University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey series this weekend has been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 23 and Sunday, Jan. 24. Puck drop on Saturday will be at 6:07 p.m. and on Sunday at 4:07 p.m. The decision to reschedule this series is consistent with the National Collegiate Hockey Conference's COVID-19 protocols, developed by the Conference's Health & Safety Competitions Committee, as well as the Conference's Game Schedule Policy, developed by the NCHC's Athletic Council.

KUMD 103.3 FM's Highway 61 Revisited is a one-hour radio program dedicated to Bob Dylan’s music, airing weekly on Saturdays and Mondays at 5 p.m. Host Miriam Hanson presents Dylan’s music, including live and studio performances as well as different versions of his songs performed by other artists. The program was launched by John Bushey, who hosted it for 25 years. He died in February 2018 after a long battle with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

A monthly virtual event on the third Tuesday of each month that is organized by the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce to provide an opportunity for business networking. Full schedule for 2021 here. (NOTE: Most events are at 4:30, save the January and February installments, which are at 3:30.) The cost to attend is $10 for nonmembers and $5 for chamber members.
