Mixed Media Painting Essentials
This streamlined workshop focuses on the essentials of mixed media painting. Designed for artists of all levels, the class offers a hands-on experience in creating mixed media art. Participants will learn fundamental techniques to combine various materials and mediums to create unique, expressive paintings. The session includes two hours of instruction by David Austin and all the materials to create a mixed media painting to take home.

Speaker Herman Lindsey was wrongfully convicted in 2006 and endured three years on death row for the robbery and murder of a Ft. Lauderdale pawn-shop owner. Prior to the speaker, visitors can attend the opening reception for the related UMD senior art exhibit "Exonerated" by Holly Brown from 4-6 p.m. at the Tweed Museum of Art. Food will be provided.
