A sensory-friendly morning at Great Lakes Aquarium. They will dim the lights, turn down the noise and turn off waterfalls for those on the autism spectrum. Sensory-Friendly Saturdays happen the last Saturday of each month through March. Normal admission rates apply.
On the first Wednesday of each month, the Death Café group meets in the Blue Room of the Mount Royal Branch of the Duluth Public Library. (The same group meets at the Superior Public Library during warm months.) This is not a support group, but a place to share and hear ideas on death and how it relates to life.

This Science Institute for Educators session focuses on the importance of ocean exploration and modern technologies used to explore the deep ocean. The workshop introduces standards-based, hands on activities and online resources to guide classroom teaching and learning around ocean science literacy.
