Duluth Garden Flower Society Plant Sale
Bring your boxes, wagons or carts to shop for perrenials, annuals, native plants, vegetables, roses, herbs, garden art and more. This sale happens in the Duluth Rose Garden parking lot. All proceeds help neighborhood garden clubs beautify Duluth. This event will happen rain or shine.

The Northern Landscapes Festival celebrates the birds, wildflowers and geology of Lake Superior's North Shore. North House Folk School hosts the weekend of field-focused courses and evening activities May 31 to June 2. Evening presentations are free and open to all, and course registration is open. The 29th annual Kolar Toyota ALS Fishing Tournament runs May 31 to June 1 on Island Lake. There is also a virtual division on any lake in North America. Free Park Day
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources offers free admission to all 75 Minnesota state parks and recreation areas on four days each year. On Free Park Days the DNR waives the requirement for a vehicle permit to enter state parks and recreation areas. The entrance fee waiver does not cover activities like camping, rentals or tours. The Whipper Snapper kids' races are held each year in Duluth’s Bayfront Festival Park on Grandma’s Marathon weekend. These races are free and open to children age 14 and under. The 30th annual William A. Irvin 5K kicks off a weekend of running events and festivities surrounding Grandma’s Marathon. The 3.1-mile course starts and finishes near the William A. Irvin ore boat located next to the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. The Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile race held in conjunction with Grandma's Marathon. With rolling hills and a net downhill elevation, the racecourse starts north of Duluth and runs along Scenic Highway 61, hugging the shores of Lake Superior before taking participants through the heart of Downtown Duluth and finishing in historic Canal Park. Veterans to the BWCA
Veterans to the BWCA is a free trip for veterans to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area for canoeing, fishing and camping in the company of fellow veterans. The trip runs July 22-28. Applications can be picked up at the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center. Applicants must supply DD214 for veteran status verification.

The 12th annual All Pints North Summer Beer Festival includes beer from more than 90 breweries, along with ciders, seltzers, non-alcoholic products and more.
