The Fitger’s 5K has grown into one of the state’s premier spring races, offering a challenge for runners of all ages and abilities while taking participants on a scenic tour of Downtown Duluth. Business and community leaders join together for the inaugural Sustainability Awards and a state-of-the-environment presentation which will detail a green opportunity that could help to define the region’s economic future. Dr. Jennifer King, from the National Renewable Energy Lab, will present research that indicates how Minnesota can build the infrastructure for green iron/steel, concrete, e-fuels and fertilizer. The registration deadline is Monday, April 15, at 5 p.m. Lunch will be catered by Clyde Iron Works.

Justice North, formerly Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota, presents the annual family-friendly Law Day 5K run/walk. The 5K begins and ends at the Duluth East High School parking lot.
