Halloween Costume Party
Island Lake Inn's Halloween Costume Party features free Jell-O shots all day for adults who come in costume. Kids in costume get candy. There will be live music by Northside Ramblers from 9 p.m. to midnight. Costume contest judging is at 10 p.m.; must be present to win. Winners will receive Island Lake Inn gift cards -- $75 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place.

Sons of FogTown band takes the stage again at the Barrel Room in Fitger's for a costume-encouraged Halloween concert. The band will be playing a mix of its own tunes and popular songs from across genres and generations from artists like Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty, Santana, Pink Floyd, the White Stripes, Weezer and more.

Halloween at the Coppertop Church includes Halloween games in Lakeview Social Hall. 10 a.m. is Sunday School. Trunk or Treat is from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in West Parking Lot. Hosts suggest attendees to attend in a (non-violent) costume. Sign up in the church office to hand out candy from your car (from your decorated trunk) or to donate candy.

The Massacre on Hammond is a Halloween experience held at a private residence in Superior from Oct. 26 to 31. The address is 1701 Hammond Ave. The Oct. 29 and 31 afternoon sessions are less scary walk throughs for little ghouls and goblins out trick-or-treating. Admission is free but cash donations are accepted. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
