Ursa Minor Brewing and Duluth MakerSpace are combining to feature agate venders and artisans at both locations during the two-day Gitchee Gumee Agate Festival. This fundraiser to benefit the Gary New Duluth Skateboard Park features Don Ness, former mayor of Duluth, as keynote speaker. There will also be a live auction and a silent auction. Tickets are $25 and include entry in a drawing for a wine dinner for eight at Mont du Lac's Trophy Lodge. Heavy hours d'oeuvres and beer/cider tasting will be provided. Cash bar will be available.

Featured will be a pollinator and native plant sale from Shoreview Natives in Two Harbors, free resources on pollinator plants and gardening for Monarch butterflies, and Duluth Monarch Buddies merchandise for sale. DMB members will be on hand to answer questions, assist with plant purchases and provide direction on developing and increasing monarch and butterfly habitat in their yards and neighborhoods. Pheasants Forever and the Regional Stormwater Protection Team will host booths.

The Duluth YMCA and the Greater Downtown Council kick off Downtown Sidewalk Days with the 14th annual Sidewalk Shuffle 5K walk and run to raise money for scholarships. The course starts and ends at Endion Station and follows the Lakewalk. The Shuffle is an out and back course heading north toward Leif Erikson Park. Mentor North presents an evening of games, live music by Darling Danger, and food to support its youth mentoring programs. Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased from Mentor North staff, board members, and Mentor Superior subcommittee members. Chum's 17th annual Rhubarb Festival promises lots of rhubarb -- including hundreds of pies, muffins and crisps, as well as rhubarb brats and burritos. There will also be live music, games, crafts, auctions and stage shows. This year the festival is being held at Stella Maris Academy -- Holy Rosary Campus.

Razortail, Big Kiss, Ankle Brace, Emma Jeanne, Dirt Bike Boyfriend and Robyn Graves perform at the Lower Chester Rink in support of reproductive rights and access in Minnesota.
