This is an opportunity for anyone to try out ice skating. Indoor rink, music and no sticks or pucks allowed for a comfortably paced and secure environment for active fun and interaction. Limited skates available for use. Pre-register online, or pay at the door (cash and cards accepted). Open to people of all ages. Sept. 4-Dec. 18 | $3 Sundays 3-5 p.m. | Wednesdays 6:30-8 p.m.

Learn and play with robots. Participants will be introduced to coding with various, easy-to-program robots. These little bots open up the creative side of coding, while promoting problem-solving skills, communication, and teamwork. This program will be enjoyed by kids the most and tweens could still be interested. Teens might be too old to get the same experience. Other Dates: November 18

Life House and Music Resource Center creatives perform a variety of acts to kick off the school year at the Fall Launch Party and Talent Showcase. The MRC is an inclusive program where students in grades 6-12 explore the craft of music through instruction and hands-on experience in music performance, recording and the music business. They have instruments, instructors/coaches, recording equipment, and practice rooms. All skill levels, experience and interests are welcomed.

Unplugged is North House Folk School's biggest celebration of the year, weaving together music, craft and community celebrations. Live music performances feature Great Lake Swimmers, Dusty Heart, the Penny Peaches, and the Roe Family Singers. Sampo is hosting their yearly fundraiser. Enjoy a bowl of Mojakka "Finnish beef stew" with bread and sauna and swim for for free. The celebration also features live music with Dick Reese, raffles, baked goods and gently used items for sale. Meals are $15 for adults, $8 for kids under eight and $20 for Mojakka to-go.

An energetic and interactive theatre experience that explores the quirky characters from the local author's popular children's books. Meet the sneaky sheep Rocky and Blossom, Sasquatch and Squirrel, Cookie the Walker and of course the famous monkey with a tool belt: Chico Bon Bon. The show is best suited for grades K-3. Duluth Children's Museum is offering monthly Play and Learn sessions. Caregivers and children will enjoy a hands-on STEAM program, followed with museum exploration.
