The Lincoln Park Farmers Market team will host an indoor farmers market featuring vendors selling produce, eggs, meat, canned goods, baked goods, gluten free and vegan items and crafts. Board & Brush Creative Studio presents this do-it-yourself three-hour workshop for creating unique wood signs. This edition is meant to be an experience between parents and children. Participants select wood projects from a gallery -- an adult project and a child project. All the materials are provided, along with step-by-step instructions for creating a piece for the home or for a gift. A variety of paint and wood stain colors are available to choose from. The Marshall Holiday Ski Camp is for children ages 5-12 and runs Dec. 27-29 with sessions held at the Spirit Mountain Nordic Center from 1 to 4 p.m. each day. The camp fee is $100 per child for three afternoons of learning and fun. Instruction is provided by the members of Marshall Nordic Ski Team and Alumni. CSS Family Music Series: Carnival of the Animals
Join the CSS String Orchestra and pianists Jessica Schroeder and Emily Valine as they perform Camille Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals, with narration by Kevin Quarmby. The program will also feature additional CSS student ensembles and kids will have an opportunity to try out various musical instruments for themselve. General admission is $7 for adults and free for all kids and students, pre-K to college, and free for Sisters of the St. Scholastica Monastery.
