Duluth’s Maria Bamford and Late Show writer Ariel Dumas square off in the Minnesota accent battle to end all Minnesota accent battles.

Charlie Parr – “Hobo” (from the Bischoff Sessions)

The Bischoff Sessions is a compilation album planned for release later in 2016. Proceeds will go toward creating awareness and understanding for drug and alcohol abuse. This is the first video of the series, featuring Duluth’s Charlie Parr recorded at Orange 72 Studio downtown Eau Claire.

Video Archive: “Fly High Duluth”

It’s been ten years since Saturday Night Live aired its skit about a local band, led by Jack Daniels-guzzling Wally Hamrlik and his wife Char, who overstay their welcome while performing “Fly High Duluth,” the theme song for morning show Duluth Live. The sketch originally aired on Jan. 14, 2006, and was first posted to Perfect Duluth Day on on Jan. 16, 2006. Happy Saturday.

Every Scratch Tells a StoryNashville recording artist Jerry Vandiver has a special affinity with Grand Marais, which he expressed in this love song from his 2014 album Every Scratch Tells a Story. The recently released video features images by Grand Marais photographer Paul Sundberg.

Reflectivore – “Red Looking Glass”

Washburn-based band Reflectivore released a self-titled album this week. The video for “Red Looking Glass” was directed by Kjell Kvanbeck.
