DESCRIPTION:The Nordic Center has moved to a new location\, and with the move comes a new opportunity to learn the Norwegian language. Participants in this eight-week class develop basic Norwegian grammar and speech skills in the common Bokmål dialect. They also learn how to ask for directions\, describe people and objects\, express dates and carry on simple conversations\, all without any intrusive apps. \nInstructor Bjorn Killerud is a lifelong Norwegian speaker with a passion for the language and for Norwegian culture. With him\, students also learn about some of the curiosities of the Norwegian way of life\, such as lutefisk\, trolls and the country’s strange relationship with a famous cartoon duck. This interactive class is for all ages and ability levels. The 90-minute sessions are on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. from Oct. 21 to Dec. 9. \nRegistration is available until Oct. 18 through Google Forms.
