Duluth MakerSpace in full swing

Duluth MakerSpaceDuluth’s 10,000+ sq. ft. cooperative member workshop is in full swing this month. Duluth MakerSpace offers a different class or event every night in February — everything from welding to electronics to soap making. Wednesday nights are also free demo nights with a different demonstration each week.

Paid membership is not necessary to take classes or attend demo nights.

Anyone may join the space with membership $45/mo. for an individual or $60/mo. for a couple. Membership gets you full access to the entire shop and all tools, such as a professional SawStop table saw, 100W laser cutter, industrial sewing machines and 3-D printers.

February Membership Drive

MakerSpace is doing a big membership push to achieve a sustainable level of interest now that the shop is built out well. Everyone is encouraged to tour the full wood, metal, tech and craft shops from 6 to 7 p.m. weeknights and noon to 6 p.m. weekends. There is a great group of folks with a lot of passion and generosity.

Questions can be directed to the Facebook page or info @ duluthmakerspace.com.

This is one of the coolest places in Duluth. I am so glad it is here. If you are into art & making things it is definitely worth a look/membership.
