The Duluth City Council is accepting applications for the recently vacated Second District council seat previously held by Patrick Boyle, who recently was elected to the St. Louis County Board.

Residents of Duluth’s Second District are encouraged to apply in the city clerks’ office or online.

Pending approval at the next council meeting, Jan. 27, the appointment process will include an application deadline of 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 31. The council will conduct candidate interviews on Feb. 6 and rank their top three choices at a special meeting at 5 p.m. on Feb. 10.

The Second District includes the Kenwood, Chester Park, Endion and Congdon Park neighborhoods. (See map.)
