Wildwoods Rehabilitation

Drum roll!!! Trumpets!!! Wildwoods Rehabilitation is now an official nonprofit organization!!! (Applause!)

About Wildwoods
Wildwoods, a Minnesota nonprofit, is a group of wildlife rehabilitators and volunteers in Duluth. We work to help injured and orphaned animals return to their natural lives. Though we are currently based out of the homes of our individual wildlife rehabilitators, we plan to open a free-standing center in the Duluth area in the next 6-12 months.

We invite you to browse the pictures and stories of the wild animals on YouTube on pffarr’s channel. We are very fortunate to live in such a wild, wonderful corner of the world. Enjoy!

Are the injured animals referred to your organization?
Do you compete with other organizations or individuals?
My experience is when the DNR or Forest Service is called to report an injured animal or bird they may give you a specific person to call depending on the type of injured animal.

We (the several rehabbers of Wildwoods) are who the DNR will refer you to, in the Duluth area. We have only just incorporated as a nonprofit under the name "Wildwoods." We are individual wildlife rehabilitators banding together into this organization.

Wildlife rehabbers are volunteers, using our time and money to care for needy wildlife, so there are very few of us. Competition isn't an issue; we're only too happy to share the work amongst ourselves and work cooperatively to help wildlife in need.

BTW, Wildwoods needs a logo, so we are having a logo design competition. Anyone can submit a design. Creator of the winning logo will receive $100, as well as artistic credit whenever we use your design. Submit as many entries as you want! Email your designs to:

Thanks!

I was happy to find about your organization, as I had four itty bitty baby squirrels that needed to be released soon. Thank you to Ian for coming to our home and getting them all from me Wednesday. I would like to keep up with them until they are released. This is the second time in two years I have taken in baby squirrels and although it is a huge challenge it is so worth every minute of it. Thanks for taking them from me and getting them through the last leg of their journey to freedom.
