Ice volcanoes, if you dare!

The ice volcanoes of Park Point are spouting off big-time right now. Grab your ski goggles, your rain pants and your windbreaker and head on down.

We hit up Brighton a bit ago too. Pretty awesome. I got a few decent pics. Nearly got blown away, though.

It could've been a PDD meet up! I took pics and a few vids. Mostly from inside the car as the door could barely be opened! Took a few out but the wind/spray was cold.

There was a surfer at the Lester River Info Kiosk area too that had people's attentions. He made my arms tired though for the 20 min I watched him paddling in the same spot.

People like you people impress the hell out of me. I don't even dare go out to the beach in this!

Here's me at Artists' Point in Grand Marais today. It was incredibly cold and windy. Soup at the Gunflint Tavern took care of that, though.

Waves supposed to top out on western Lake Superior at 20 - 25 feet right about sunrise Wednesday morning. If the snow's not too bad, you're daring enough with your vehicle's snow capabilities, or you live close enough, the ship canal and rock cliff stretches along the north shore might be pretty wild tomorrow morning. I bet all us Duluth expats would love some pics or video if someone out there can get 'em safely.

I tossed a couple of ribeyes on the grill and sipped on a pint of stout a bit ago. I'm almost sad that we're not up to our knees in fresh powder right now but from the looks of the radar, there was a line just about Thompson Hill that's now petering out, but there's a nasty looking cell sitting around Hinckley that could make things a bit messy tomorrow.

HA! I grilled yesterday zra, just in case I couldn't for a bit. Had a nice lil fire after too. Ahhh.

Hausen...in the morning, take a look at the LSMMA cam for some nice views of the ship canal. (I screen-capped a spectacular sunrise the other day with their cam.

Never even had to leave my cozy flannel-sheeted bed. ;-)

That or the Solglimt B & B cam or the Visit Duluth Cam (which pans if you wait a few seconds once it loads.

Hey and Surfers on next on the 10 News 6 news, which is repeated overnight and again at the 12pm broadcast. Prolly video online too!

Here's a shot from Silver Bay yesterday. This wave seems to be blasting off into the clouds.
