It looks like the Duluth Trading Company did actually begin in Duluth, MN. I figured they were just trying to cash in on Duluth Pack; guess not.

Even more bullshit is that their offices are in Janseville, WI. They're only connection to Duluth is the fact that Rick Kollath of Duluth does (or used to at least) many of their catalog illustrations.

So you are saying that once a company moves, it is required to change its name? I don't get that logic. They were the only "local" company to step up and sponsor Make TV for PBS. They even gave the producers DTC shop coats to give as gifts to the people who got profiled in the series (and I am one of those lucky souls).

They started here and moved away. There's no reason for them to change the whole name of their company.

In other news, Tonka Trucks are no longer made in Minnetonka.

Maybe they will open their second store in Hermantown.

Free advertising of Duluth's name. Who cares if they are in Wisconsin?

The Mustard Museum lives! It's just in Middleton now, better than ever.

Sounds like a good excuse for a road trip. Prime motorcycling country, and the Grumpy Troll Brewpub has good food and better beer.
