Andy Nelson
I'd like to make some joke here but I cant find it in me. Andy would have liked for me to make some joke right now but..all I can say is this guy was a truly natural talent.

I met almost all of the old school Duluth "unerground" people through Andy. He brought me to my first "party", took me to the Bunker for the first time and expanded my mind on many occasions in more ways than one. I met him when I was 12 or 13 years old up at UMD playing Dungeons and Dragons he must have been 16 or 17 at the time and he was the first person I can recall "sticking it to the man" and putting his middle finger in the face of authority. He carried a pouch of "snuff" with him, had the first Walkman I ever remember seeing, was dangerously intelligent and obviously lived by his own set of rules. I was awestruck.
I don't think he knew how much of an influence he was on my life.
RIP old friend. You are missed.

andy was a jack knife, make that a swiss army knife in the hand of god. he cut us all up & left us laughing.
but it was all double edged. he was the funniest & saddest of us all. i will miss the prospect of seeing him in this world again, but eager to see his smiling mug in heaven.
ciao mien comrade. until then.
