I'll have a cashew burger. No fries, there will be plenty to steal off other people's plates.

Just a straight up Anchorburger with bacon, extra pickles, and fries. Who has headed to the Anchor soon after posting this? I am out the door!!!!

My Dad used to tend bar there and he is the one who added the mushroom swiss burger to the menu. Just thought I'd add that.
I am a california burger with grilled onions and bacon. Fries with a side of mayo.
and while it may not be as famous as the burgers, the grilled ham and cheese is pretty tasty too.

Hawaiian Burger, a luau in your mouth. It's like a Big Kahuna Burger. Now THAT'S a tasty burger.

yes. grilled cheese. not because it is some magical cheese blend. but because everything on the grill sticks to your grilled, cheesy goodness so you get, like, a 9 menu item sampler for the price of some kraft singles. magic. (not for vegetarians).

Cheeseburger with fries. A year or two ago the Anchor reduced the size of an order of fries by about half, which is a good serving for one person. You got too many before.

i can polish off a galleybuster without breaking a sweat.

Oliveburger...mmmmmmmm....
I try other oliveburgers at other joints and nothing beats their creamy cheesy goodness with salty briny olives... mmm... *drool*

Cashew burger all the way. I like the way they fall off the bun and you have to chase them around the plate. Also - best fries ever, and I don't even like french fries.

I usually choose the "light" option. The California Burger. Sometimes with fried onions, sometimes without. I rarely get the fries. 1200 calories in one meal is enough for me.

Does the menu really have all those funny typos? I like "Plain but Peasant."

jalopeno cream cheese burger. yum yum.

I haven't eaten red meat since I was 18, so I've never had an anchor burger. But I do enjoy there grilled cheese & fries

The Philosophy Burger. No meat, just a pitcher of high life. For when you're starving but you've only got $2 bucks in your pocket and all you can think about is drinkin'.

Last time I went there I added bacon to my usual olive burger with grilled onions. Made it even better because everyone knows bacon makes everything better. Side of bbq which is pretty new and of course the fresh cut fries. Mmmm, thinking about it makes this subway I'm eating seem pretty dull and wimpy.

Can't beat the blue cheese burger, fries & a Leini's -I'm not blue/sad after I consume one of these - altho the blue cheese dressing does get a little sloppy (lots of napkins needed sometimes : )

Hint: If you are sitting at a table and it is busy, tip the waitress big right away to insure good service. Otherwise, she might tell you to get off on her middle finger if you ask for anything.

As Dr. Nick would say, "If you rub it on paper and can see through it, that is your window to weight gain!"

Jalapeno burger, although it isn't as economical because you need more beer to cool the fire. I love that it has 'both cheeses.'

I like the foie gras salad with braised micro greens, complemented by the black truffle souflee and a side of horseradish-infused mahi mahi.

Anchor burgers are greatly over rated.

Why did i have to read this when I'm sitting at work starving? Hawaiian Burger, with tomato and fried onions. With fries. And I like to sit in the little cove right by the door. But since it's so popular I usually end up at the Dentist Table.

Their kitchen gives several visible clues as to why consumption of the burgers may lead to your premature demise*, but Anchor fries rule the land!
*That is, even more than the average burger

I'm going to go up and down the menu before I settle on a favorite. But last night's burger was fantastic: Mexican burger with jalapenos and sour cream (Fries, too). MMMMMMMM.
