So, so WRONG

So in a move of brilliance (insert sarcasm here) I am dj'ing my own wedding. Brilliant! And said wedding is a week from today so I am devoting today to pulling all the songs for the wedding and loading them onto the IPOD and burning them on to CD. I am a little light on inspiration for some areas of the festivities so I turned to Wed Alert to help me out. They were very useful for coming up with the song list for the bagpipe guy for the ceremony so I thought I would check out their selections for the Father/Daughter dance. It was your usual schlock-Butterfly Kisses, Thank Heaven for Little Girls, Wind Beneath My Wings etc. Then came this..The Cure-Lullabye. I am sorry, but isn't this song about a child molester coming in and well, molesting little Robert Smith at night?

"...quietly he laughs and shaking his head creeps closer now closer to the foot of the bed and softer than shadow and quicker than flies his arms are all around me and his tongue in my eyes 'be still be calm be quiet now my precious boy don't struggle like that or i will only love you more for it's much too late to get away or turn on the light the spiderman is having you for dinner tonight."

What kind of F*CKED UP Daddy Daughter dance is that?

PS-If anyone has a sound system we could rent please let me know!

Paul Simon's "Fathers and Daughters" would be a great song to use. It's not on the list.

I also used my iPod to DJ my wedding in July and it worked great. My dad and I danced to Paul Simon's "Father and Daughter" It was the perfect choice.

I have a p.a. system that should work for you. It's been used for two weddings so far and worked perfectly. It's the same that I use for if thousands and Devil's Flying Machine. It's also been used by plenty of local musicians (Keepaways, Bone Appetite, Alan Sparhawk and on and on) as well as The Professor's UFO conference, church functions, etc. Nice and portable with plenty of power. I have another system, but it's mainly for bigger stages and venues. Get hold of me at [email protected] or 625-7429 if you're interested. I'll charge you a pittance if you pick it up and return it. Let me know. And congratulations, by the way!
