Speaking of small beer, the Big Lake Brewfest is coming up in a couple of weekends. Ths may be more of a question for Slim Goodbuzz, but have any of you been to it before? How does it compare to the Gitchee Gumee Brewfest?

i've been every year...will be there this year.

big lake is a lot smaller...more intimate it seems, and was started by some of the original organizers of the GG fest...

I like it. same vendors, not as many idiot college kids...

two thumbs up.

You could call the Big Lake "smaller" and "more intimate." I call it "easier to get beer at." Part of the problem at the Gitchee is standing in line to get your shotglass-sized "taste" of beer. Nobody "tastes" beer. You drink beer. And you can't drink beer if you have to stand in line and wait ten to fifteen minutes for every sip.

Still, most everyone at both events ends up drunk at the end, so I guess they're both good in my book.

If by "good" you mean shotgunning warm Schlitz.

last monday night i shotgunned a busch lite at the sunset with the luce ball team.
