Placing an image into a post isn't hard; it just requires some extra steps.

Before you begin, you will need to have an image on your computer. Be sure that the image is relatively small (no wider than 500px). Raw images off of your digital camera will NOT work. You will need to resize them first.

Also, if you are a beginner, it will be easier to upload your image BEFORE you write your post. This tutorial will only cover the easiest method for posting images. There are other methods, which may be covered in a later tutorial.

1. Go to the page you where you would normally type in your post. Before typing anything in, click "upload file."

2. A popup window will open. Browse to find your image on your computer. When you have chosen it, click "upload."

3. You will see the following window. Leave everything as is and click "embedded image."

4. The HTML for your image is automatically pasted into a new post for you. Create a title, choose a subject, and type the text portion of your post in the same field as your image HTML. It is probably best to hit enter twice after the HTML to create some space between the image and your text. When you're finished entering your text, click "save" as you usually would. That's it!
