We are in the process of applying for different grants for our ski program. It was suggested that we have some Chester Bowl stories/testimonials to include with our applications. I would like to take that a step further, and have a Chester Bowl Stories section on our website, chesterbowl.org.
Many parents have told me that the ski program has made a big difference to their families. If you would like to share your story, we would like to post it on our site. Please send any stories/testimonials to:

and include your name for the posting.

If you’ve got any historical stories, photos or artifacts, you could submit them to the Chester Bowl History page.

This is not so much a Duluth video, but it will help riders from Duluth get known. This snowboard hill is Granite Peaks, in Wausau, Wis. I highly recommend taking a trip out there, amazing hill.

Chester Bowl Park is open for downhill skiing as of today. Daily lift tickets for all ages are $5.25. Details at chesterbowl.org.

Requirements: game must be on. Reasonably good food – more than just deep-fried bar fare. Places to sit (not super crowded). Not too dive bar-ish.

Zygi buys new apartment in NY

If you’re a fan of daring feats of winter bravery or even just swanky sweaters, you’ll love this stuff. This is a work in progress, Peter Spooner from the Tweed sorted and scanned photos from various sources and posted them, we’re hoping that people continue to contribute and add any info they might have about the photos.

Oh, and if you’re a fan of the modern-day Chester Bowl ski program, don’t miss the wine-beer-pizza tasting and silent auction on Saturday, November 12th, 6-9 PM, Midi Restaurant.

Tickets are $1 in advance from the UMD Ticket Office and $3 at the door on game day. Kids 10 and under get in free with an adult!

Head to Amsoil Arena this weekend as the UMD Women’s Hockey Team takes on North Dakota at 3:07 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Saturday is “Fill the Seats at Amsoil Day,” so come out and cheer the Bulldogs on to victory! Tickets are only $1 if purchased in advance from the UMD Athletic Ticket Office and only $3 if purchased through Ticketmaster or at Amsoil Arena on gameday. All kids 10 & under will receive free admission!

Sunday afternoon is “Halloween at Amsoil”! Come dressed in your favorite costume and have a chance to win in the second intermission Halloween Costume Contest. Kids can trick-or-treat in the concourse before the game and all kids 10 & under are free with a paid adult!

There’s also “Bears Somehow Proud Of Selves For Beating Vikings.”
