What year did Homegrown jump the shark?

Actually, that was a subject of discussion last week and the determination is that it will happen in two years, but it will be referred to as "jumping the shark-Gartman."

Seemed like a lot of the usual heavy hitters dropped out this year. Sad to see real talents like Silk Sheiks sitting out too. But I wish HGMF would take a cue from MWMF by gathering acts from around the region as well as local. This would probably help to remedy HG's inbred aspect/ be one way to seriously up its game. But even in the case of MWMF, this year's roster was dumbed down with the usual sally-wash that saturates today's music. For me anyway, you've got water entering the hull when your headliner ends with Messersmith or Koza.
