A recent event at UMD spotlighted comics as a scholarly and artistic pursuit.

Three widely known Minnesota graphic artists shared their work:

Three UMD faculty members opened the event with short presentations on comics as cultural artifacts.

Kathryn A. Martin Library Archives and Special Collections partnered with the Duluth Public Library and Duluth Art Institute to host the event. “Comic Panels and Graphic Art” was made possible through a UMD Public Engagement Grant.

I’m full nerd;  I love anytime comics are celebrated and I hope you will examine the work of these Duluthians.  That’s kind of the reason I include all the links!
