Theater season is upon us, and the Duluth/Superior area has you covered. There are a variety of shows happening every month, ranging from comedy to drama and something for the kiddos.

In addition to the works of Duluth/Superior theater companies listed below, a smattering of other productions are scheduled around the region, including community theater by the Grand Marais Playhouse, Grand Rapids Players and County Seat Theater Company in Cloquet, troupe-for-hire shows by Change of Pace Productions, random shows at StageNorth Theater & Bar in Ashland touring shows promoted by Myles Reif Performing Arts Center (staged off-sight while construction continues at the Reif). And, of course, we’ll no doubt be hearing soon about high school productions.
 
 

The Duluth Playhouse was founded in 1914 and is one of the nation’s oldest community theaters, producing a year-round season of dramas, musicals and children’s productions.
