One of the trolleys used today by the Minnesota Streetcar Museum for seasonal runs between Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun is an old Duluth streetcar with a rolling destination sign for Woodland, Crosley and Lester Park. I looked but I don't have a photo. Maybe this summer I'll try to get one.

If you were on a Lester Park bus traveling on Superior Street and needed to travel farther north on 45th Avenue East, you could get a transfer and wait at 45th E. & Superior St. for a Crosley bus that would head up 45th toward Glenwood St. In the winter of 1951, with a little luck, you would have time between buses to slip into Bridgeman's on the northeast corner of 45th & Superior St. and have a cup of bittersweet hot chocolate.

In 1951 that particular Bridgeman’s, besides providing some regular seating, had a row of wooden chairs with an attached writing desk arm upon which you could set your ice cream treat or beverage. A couple doors east of Bridgeman’s was Berg’s Drugstore (?) where 5-cent Cokes were available.
