Duluth Brewery Tours

I’ll be in town next weekend Friday and Saturday, and I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations of breweries or brewpubs to check out. We will be doing the Bent Paddle brewery tour … but any additional suggestions/recommendations is greatly appreciated.

Check out The Duluth Experience for tours of multiple local breweries. They do a great job.

I would also highly recommend signing up for a Duluth Experience brewery tour. I have been on a couple and they are really fun, but sign up early!

Visit Lake Superior Brewing Company. They are just a few blocks from Bent Paddle and they are oldest local microbrewery in the area. Great brews on tap.

A couple outliers, that are worth visiting while your in town, are Castle Danger (Two Harbors), Borealis Fermentery (Knife River), and the Thirsty Pagan (Superior, Wi). Borealis does great Belgians, but I believe you can only visit during a brewery tour like the Duluth Experience. Prepare to shell out $80/person for a brewery tour. Upside is you don't have to drive and get shuttled around for 4 1/2 hours. You can also get Borealis and Blacklist (super good, but not well known) beers on tap at various locations around town (check webpage for locations). Pagan is a must for a couple pints and pizza. Castle Danger's new taproom is spacious and super nice. Lake Superior Brewing Company is great and close to Bent Paddle, as the previous poster mentioned. The nitro pours at Bent Paddle are the best in town, imho.
