Duluth Community Needs Survey

The public is encouraged to participate in the 2014 Community Needs Survey conducted by the city of Duluth. It takes five minutes and will help develop an understanding of the needs of Duluth neighborhoods and identify potential improvements in services for low-income residents. The survey will be open through May 7.

Paper surveys will also be available at all three Duluth Public Library branches or copies can be requested from:

Just curious: are you primarily interested in data from the East Hillside west? I'm only wondering because the first question about the respondent's neighborhood doesn't list anything east of the Hillside, and I don't want to skew the data by responding.

And no, I'm not a cake-eater.

I wondered the same thing. But, I filled it out anyway, even though my neighborhood is not listed. Blighted/abandoned homes are a problem in my neighborhood, so I'm glad that was included in the survey questions.

The Community Needs Survey is available and open to all residents to complete. Federal funds have targeted certain neighborhoods that need redevelopment or infusion of revitalization but that doesn't mean the City hasn't updated sidewalks or amenities in other neighborhoods to improve overall community health and well-being.

Thank you for taking the time to fill out the survey.
