Does anybody know of any West Junior High yearbooks?

I’m looking for a yearbook from West Junior High from around the year 1938. I’ve checked DPL and all round the school district. I’m wondering if anybody has one laying around in an attic somewhere.

The name of the West Junior High yearbook was West-word. Copies are pretty rare, and I would bet it would be a challenge to even find out reliably which years it was published, other than that they would have to fall within the span of the history of the school, which existed from 1925 to 1982.

The West Duluth Memories Facebook page has a few images from West-word, including the title page image from 1967, shown below, posted by Mel Berglund. But I can't say for sure West-word even existed in the 1930s.

I'm note sure what the "Volume II" is all about. I doubt that was the second year, and I doubt it needed to be published in two volumes that year.

The only thing a Google search turned up for me is the cover of a 1958 edition someone sold.

The reason I ask is that I'm looking for a picture of a woman who lived in my house from 1933-1954. She was a teacher there all those years and then some. Also she apparently was on the Board of Education in 1952. Her name was Gladys Lundgren. Any relation Paul?

Is there a way to see these photos from that Facebook group without signing up for Facebook? I do not use that site other than the "Workplace" section because I have to. However, Workplace does not allow me to search outside of it ... so ... any help would be great. I am mostly from the West side and I am always curious to see people and other photos from "back in the day."

No, you wouldn't be able to view the West Duluth Memories stuff on Facebook without creating an account and joining the group.

Blacab, this is sort of random, but I was looking for information about Gladys Lundgren on internet and came across this website. Gladys was my mother's aunt and likely the same woman you are looking for. I know she was teacher in Duluth. I think I may have some pictures, will need to dig around.
