My snow scoop is ready!
I need to order my Chinese food and frozen pizzas!
Conditions will be excellent for Tour Duluth (cross country skiing event) on Saturday!
If the diseased minds of ‘those in charge’ only knew how much people would prefer to listen to this guy over some monotone bimbo.
I would set my alarm to be able to tune into this guy every day.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bimbo report the weather. I’m sure they are out there, but must either all be in other markets or on cable. In Duluth, weather is almost always reported by a nerdy white guy.
What state is the snow supposed to hit? He wasn’t clear.
Four minutes is a touch long.
I dunno, but I heard one the other day on the radio, might’ve just been the local news, Kare 11 or something; I guess I lack the ability to differentiate between news and weather people, or radio and TV for that matter, but it was unbelievable they would even think of hiring someone who sounded like that. Like her brain was going to fall out of her ear hole and go tink on the floor. I knew then there had been a breach in some kind of new level of stupordom.
Just the fact that they’re targeting that kind of sound, and pushing it to new extremes. You know, Frankie had me listening, I didn’t know what he was gonna say next, so I was concentrating really hard. Sometimes I think people like him have more to offer the world than all the news anchors combined.
I’ve seen an anchorette before, somewhere. Don Ness dodged a major bullet by not becoming a meteorologist.
Check out the rest of his videos -- gotta love the dance moves on this guy! If only he could do weather predictions and dance moves combined…….
I believe this storm is being dubbed Snowquestration 2013.
And this is the greatest guitarist of all time’s brain on drugs. Any questions?
My God, Jimi Hendrix was amazing. And there is no better cover song, ever, than Hendrix covering ‘All Along The Watchtower.’ I want that song at my deathbed.
Emmadogs, I beg to differ. Observe.
That whole Winterland run was pretty amazing. He busted out a Sunshine of Your Love that was pretty tight.
Watchtower is pretty overplayed … not knocking quality, just frequency.
In.dog, you’re right, that cover of Sunshine is so great. This one is cool, too. Watchtower is overplayed, but that’s because it is the best. Cover. Ever.
Woody Allen does this bit about things that make him glad he was alive, including a couple of good music picks (e.g. Potatohead Blues by Louis Armstrong). That’s how I feel about Hendrix.
P.s. This isn’t a thread jack. Hendrix music on a snowy and foggy weekend = Perfect Duluth Day.
More snow coming!
YES! Thanks Frankie!
Since YouTube nixed that last one, here’s a replacement aptly named after high winds. In honor of this coming storm, I’d like to dedicate it to Frankie the Weatherman, because like Hendrix, doesn’t care what people think, just does it…
No, scratch that last one, I want to dedicate Nancy Sinatra to Frankie.
