24-hour eats?

My sister just notified me that the Perkins on London Road is no longer open 24 hours!  The choices for all-night study sessions someplace other than a dorm room seem to be dwindling.  Does anyone have suggestions for someplace that is open all night?  Do we even have any 24-hour restaurants left in Duluth?!?

I don't think there is sadly.

24-hr eats places are the best. I was on a road trip once and one of the great highlights was going to a restaurant for a Foster's (eww) and an ice cream cone at 3 am.

Is the Perkins on 40th West open 24 hours? Or the one at the Miller Hill Mall? How weird to have a less than 24 hour Perkins - it must be that people weren't going there at 3am any more.

Cloquet ditched its 24-hour scene quite a while ago, and Country Kitchen was closed and torn down. Probably due to the large amounts of rowdy teenagers and/or drunk people. So I understand the reason, but it's also a bummer because there were some of us who were responsible enough to patronize these places at odd hours and not cause problems.

There isn't a lot of money to be made in selling cheap bottomless pots of coffee to people who want to linger for hours.

The topic of 24-hour restaurants was brought up in this thread about the House of Donuts. At that time (about a year ago) it seemed like Perkins was the only game in town as far as 24-hour sit-down restaurants.

According to the Perkins website, the London Road, Superior, and Miller Hill Perkins locations are all open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays only. The West Duluth location stopped its 24-hour service years ago.

To borrow ever so slightly from S. Wright, most eateries in town are open 24 hours, just not it a row.
