Thanks to all the fine folks who have been sending me poster images. If anyone can verify what year some of the “specific year not known” posters are, that would be swell.
This would make a terrific exhibition. At Homegrown maybe?
During last year’s Homegrown the Duluth Art Institute had a show featuring a lot of local rock posters.
It would be difficult to get as many posters as there are in this post together in a physical display. So, for chronicling history the Internet is the better way to go. For highlighting some of the finer works in the format they were intended to be seen, art shows are where it’s at. I’m sure there will be another collection of some kind at the 2013 Homegrown.
