Lost Creek Falls Trail in Bayfield County

In Bayfield County Forest, across the road from the old Town of Bell Cemetery, is the trailhead to Lost Creek Falls. From there it’s less than a half-hour hike to the falls.

On my recent visit it was easy to find the “lost” creek and falls, but my wife lost her sunglasses, I lost her cousin’s dog (temporarily) and the crotch of my shorts ripped while I was climbing a ledge (making those shorts “lost” from my wardrobe). There’s also a geocache out there we couldn’t find. So maybe that’s how the trail gets its name.

Thanks for the photos! I can't wait for Apple Festival this year, I am going to stop here and do some exploring.

The first time we went to look for the falls, the server in Fish Lips wished us luck and said she'd looked for the falls at least three times and not found them.

When we went by the road (Klemik) to the falls, on our way to the trails above the sea caves this weekend I noticed that road is closed. Not sure if it is "closed" but passable to 4-wheel drive vehicles and/or cautious drivers, or if it is seriously "closed." If one is up for an extra two miles to the hike I suppose the closed road would pose no great difficulty.
