Duluth Home Appliance Repair Recommendations

We have a washing machine and dishwasher that are in need of medical attention. Would anyone be willing to recommend a good home-appliance repair person/company to come and fix them? They are not under warranty, as far as I know.

We had our dishwasher fixed by Daugherty Appliance. I can't say if it's the cheapest, because we didn't really shop around, but they came out right away and got the job done quickly. It's a household name in Duluth.

I found a guy on CraigsList that I really liked for washer/dryer repair.  I'm not sure if he does more - you'd have to ask.  His ad has a flat rate per repair and only charges if he is able to fix it.

I bought a foreclosed duplex with 2 washers & 2 dryers none of which worked.  He looked at all 4 and got 2 to work.  Very affordable!

I can't find his phone number but I do have his email because I had him email a receipt.  His name is Nathan at n8lemp @ msn.com  He does have a day job so does more off hour repairs.

Hey guys - thanks for making these suggestions. It is much appreciated. 

We tried Daugherty's, but they don't service LG products.  We ended up going with Johnson-Mertz' service dept. The appointment is tomorrow, so I'll update on how it goes.

We've been able to fix our washer, drier, range, and dishwasher all just by watching repair videos on youtube and the like.  If you're not afraid of a screwdriver, but just don't know where to start, there are tons of model and issue specific resources out there.  We were surprised by the depth of information.

Hope your appointment tomorrow is cheap and does the trick!
