The new Flame Nightclub at 26 N. First Ave. W. in Downtown Duluth opens on July 29.
I played pool a few times last year at the Flame in Superior. It’s a nice place, even if you are not a part of the LGBT community. They had a decent beer selection, and the decor was much better than most bars in Superior.
Is this going to be Duluth’s first “alternative” bar? I can’t think of any others in town.

I work very close to the new club, and judging by the many beer and liquor deliveries and the newscasters outside today, it won’t be too long now.
I just came from the “soft” opening. It is very nice and definitely unlike anyplace else in Duluth. Should be a welcome addition to the downtown nightlife.

Here’s a few snapshots of the interior. It’s pretty nice.
Super nice bar. Great dance floor, good beer selection.
Here’s to hoping they’ll have live music there in the future.
They have more of a DJ dance party thing set up than a live band atmosphere.
