The Salvation Army does help some people in Duluth (note the use of present tense to describe their helping in general, even though it may mainly refer to past help). But it is also a conservative Christian organization that has been known to discriminate against gay people.

He should probably not allow Salvation Army, then, since they are notorious for refusing to help gay people and pushing Christianity.

One example is when a newspaper, referring to a past event, says “Fire hits a city building, the president defends the new deputy, and in football the Vikings lose.” All are present tense, but about past events. The present tense has a wide range of uses.

And, in general, Super One’s helping YCRBYCH in the past helps YCRBYCH in the future. Super One is a trusted brand, and some people may have thought that if Super One let YCRBYCH solicit on site, then YCRBYCH is a trustworthy group. YCRBYCH also has extra money now to advocate for their cause as a result of the hours they spend soliciting funds at Super One.

It is not just about what happened while YCRBYCH was soliciting. It continues after as well.

I didn’t think I was accusing Super One of anything more than what has already been said by others. If Cleta is to be believed, the YCRBYCH was still out at Super One at 5:30pm, which may mean that YCRBYCH was raising money there for hours and were not kicked off the premises nearly as quickly as they should have been. YCRBYCH was given permission to be there and raise money from at least one Super One employee. Given the number of hours YCRBYCH was at Super One, there was probably tacit approval for the YCRBYCH fund raising from more than one Super One employee. How could YCRBYCH be there for hours and other people working at Super One not know?

Letting YCRBYCH solicit and raise money and goodwill at the Super One for hours is a form of “helping.” Super One employees weren’t helping YCRBYCH in every way possible, but they were helping in some ways possible. I think it would be wrong to say that the people at Super One did not help YCRBYCH in any way, shape, or form.

What the Super One employees did not realize, I hope, is that they were helping anti-gay nuts. But Super One and Walmart were helping anti-gay nuts, and that is unfortunate.

When I said that they were helping anti-gay nuts, the emphasis should be on the “anti-gay nuts” part. Joe Paterno may have said to himself “I can’t believe I helped a child molester,” with emphasis on “child molester.”

But I was very concerned with Walmart’s continuing allowing the YCRBYCH solicitation for so long. Does anyone know how long they were at Walmart? It looks like YCRBYCH was at Sams and Walmart a long time.

Although if Super One truly has a no-solicitation policy, I have to wonder what the deal is with the Boy Scouts who bag your groceries sometimes. They have a desk set up nearby for some type of solicitation.

This just shows you they themselves are upholding the laws that are even in the Bible of the Judeo-Christian God, but they seem to be more moral than even the American Christians do, because these people are livid about enforcing their laws. They know homosexuality is an abomination.”

Sounds like Dean thinks gay people should be murdered. Walmart and Super One are helping this nut. Has anyone heard more about Walmart supporting this? It sounds like they were still raising funds there later in the day.

I’d recommend the same as those above have suggested. Call these businesses and let them know that this is not an organization deserving of support.
