Where in Dulut … BEAR!
By baci on Jul 17, 2012 in Outdoors, Where in Duluth?
This amiable Ursoid made his way from the bottom of Woodland to upper Endion (Highland Park sub-division to be more precise), across 8th (9th) and I assume to Chester Bowl for some Music in the Park. I saw him silently walk up behind a pit bull and move along, not once breaking out more than a saunter the whole time.

Whao! You saw this tonight! Hope he like the music in Chester Bowl.
It looks like our resident forager. He’s been hanging about in our alleys for a while now.
I live just outside of upper Woodland and she does not fear people. If it is the same bear she is brazen and has three cubs following close behind. Do not approach.
Need to amend, should have started with -- DO NOT APPROACH!
She or her cubs may be the ones pooping in our yard…
AGREED … DO NOT APPROACH!!!
… but they are so cute and fuzzy. Just one quick scratch on the ears can’t hurt.
This is one of the reasons why I love Duluth!
Glad to see a bear using the designated bear lane of the road.
I was wondering what happened to the Pickanick basket I left on my blanket in the park.
Yes, please don’t poke the bear!
But Yogi … what about the Ranger?
Chester Bowl Ursoid still in the area.
While driving down Kenwood Ave from Arrowhead, it popped out of the woods between the 1st & 2nd entrance to St. Scholastica. Big guy!
