One of my favorite things from back in the days of 35mm was knowing that when the counter hit 24 it meant there might be one, two or even three more shots left, but I couldn't rely on those shots not being on partially exposed film, so the only safe thing to do was waste a couple shots until the reel hit the end.

Back when there was snow, the folks at Faith Haven Apartments used to maintain a nice snowman on the bench outside. (This photo is from the late 1990s.)
