Lake Superior Agate Rings

I am getting married pretty soon and have been looking for a wedding band with a Lake Superior agate set in it. I have looked around town and on the internet but can’t find anything that isn’t too gaudy or girly. (By the way I am a guy looking for a guy ring.) If you know of any shops in the Duluth area that sell agate rings, it would be great to get a comment.

I have a ring with an agate set into it, you'll need to send the stone into this company and they will build your ring for around $600.  Enjoy.

I have a friend that had John Marxhausen (on the skywalk) who made his band, inlaid with agate. It is not something you would see out, but could have made. I bet he would have pictures of his work including the agate inlay if you stopped by.

Check out Agate City in Two Harbors. They had some beautiful men's agate rings last time I stopped in there. They do custom work too.

While you're headed up the shore, you may want to check with Brad Nelson, the Silversmith in Larsmont. He does all original silver work, will set stones, and loves a custom challenge.

Last year my now wife and I got some agates we found made into pendants for our bridesmaids.  There was another couple that was in around the same time getting pendants, earrings and cufflinks made.  Where, you ask? Beaver Bay Agate Shop.  Keith does a great job.  Friendly, helpful, and has a good idea of how to get you just what you want for jewelry.  Good prices, too.  He has all kinds of stock he can let you pick through to get an agate you like, or just bring in one of your own.  He'll shoot straight and let you know what to expect.

Well hello! I work out of The Jewelers Bench in downtown Duluth. I do lots of custom agate rings for both men and women. I can cut your agate or I can cut one of my own.
