According to the DNT, it sounds as though the winner, Christopher Kipyego, stopped about 60 feet short of the finish line, thinking he had finished.  Everybody had to yell and him to keep going, and he finished in a dead heat with Teklu Deneke.  As much as it must have sucked for Deneke, I think it would have sucked a lot worse for Kipyego if he would've lost it.
