Monday, July 4, 2011 | Bayfront Festival Park

Is it still free?
Yes, just like our country.

Shaunna Heckman, Sarah Krueger, Dirty Horse, 4onthefloor and Charlie Parr. Plus, the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, with its full company of 60 musicians, will perform an Independence Day program in the tradition of the Boston Pops and John Philip Sousa.

When do the gates open?
Noon. There will be food and crafts, and the Mighty Thomas Shows
Carnival will be open with rides, games and family fun.

What will there be to eat/drink?
Food venders will have everything from brats and hamburgers to
Australian battered potatoes, pizza, ice cream, mini-donuts,
gyros and Asian cuisine. Beverage venders include Budweiser, Coca-Cola, and the Fitger’s Brewhouse.

When do the bands start?
12:30 p.m.

When do the fireworks start?
10:10 p.m.

Is this the largest fireworks display in Minnesota?
That’s what they say. And no one has proven them wrong.

Will there be music during the fireworks?
A synchronized musical program will be broadcast on NU92 Radio (92.1 FM).

Is it acceptable to bring in beverages?
Nope. No cans, coolers, bottles or pets, except service animals. But you can bring in blankets and lawn chairs.
