East Hillside Patch Program Duluth

East Hillside Patch, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a program director.

This year-round position is primarily responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the Mind 2 Mind after-school and summer youth programs for ages 6-14. The program director manages the programs by supervising staff/volunteers, writing grant applications, reporting to grantors and working within budget.

Mind 2 Mind is a free youth program to those who live in the East Hillside and Endion neighborhoods of Duluth that provides quality youth development opportunities focusing on areas of academic achievement, social and life skill development, health and wellness and advocacy for the youth and their families.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Social Work or an applicable field (MSW preferred) or 4 years of equivalent work experience
Experience in grant writing
Experience in program coordination or management
Acceptance of cultural, racial, religious, affectional preference and economic differences between people
Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
Organized, self-directed and motivated
Must have driver’s license, access to vehicle, and agency required liability insurance limits
Must be computer literate

Hours: 20-30 hours per week, 35 hours per week during summer program
Pay: $12.50-14 per hour
Benefits: Vacation and paid holidays
