Homegrown Wizard

Last night Old Knifey, Walt Dizzo, and I won the Homegrown Quiz at Carmody.  The prize?  This wizard.

The wizard (who needs a name) spent the afternoon in the Mayor’s office reviewing the Homegrown Guide (and the City budget).   He’s now ready for the complete Homegrown experience, he’ll need hosts to bring him around to various shows.   If you see him around, feel free to take him elsewhere.  Post your pictures of the wizard to the flicker account.

  4. We (Walt Dizzo and I) thought about naming it Mayor Walt Knifey, in honor of our winning team. It will be making appearances at Sacred Heart and the Twins Bar tomorrow. Take its picture. Post them. Let’s have fun with this guy.

  5. I’m actually pretty partial to the Qwizzard -- he’s currently riding shotgun with me, however I do not intend to take him home tonight. Just take care of him. I think he’s gonna play a major role in future city negotiations.

  6. He probably needs to star in a music video next year. Let’s try to get about 20 hours of video and at least 5000 photos of him for raw material.

  9. I like Quizzard. Now you can tweet about him and some people will know what you’re talking about.

  10. Hey what was the homegrown hashtag again? I recall great controversy and something about a “Sexy M.F.” a la Prince, but nothing definitive. Just sayin’ I need to set up a column for that on tweetdeck so I can follow all the hipsters around town wherever I am.

  12. Damn the Fromundas beat me to it. Could use the wizard down at the Brewhouse for my 10pm Sat. set.

  13. Can the Quizzard please join Tangier 57 for our Wednesday at 9 p.m. set at Lake Avenue Cafe? We promise to treat him right, and maybe even will let him wear one of our nifty band sweaters.

  14. I’ve already promised that he will be appearing on stage with Fred Tyson, but he can definitely be on stage with Tangier 57 before that. I’ve got him riding safely in the back seat of my car (he’s not tall enough for the front, yet).

He made it out to the Twins bar tonight and shared the stage with Canine Heart Sounds. I’ll do my best to get him around to different shows this weekend, but I’ll need help. It is very important that Quizzard is available for the Fontanelles set at Pizza Luce on Saturday.

  17. Old Knifey, can you swing the wiz by Brewhouse on Sat. 10pm,? I know he’s got a date with the Fromundas at that time slot maybe he could do a split shift. Better feed the old boy lots of coffee — sounds like he is an in-demand individual.

  19. Hot Shot, my schedule has Bradical/Coral Essex at the Rex on Fri. not Sat. as your post states. Better check the schedule or else risk a grade A cluster fuck.
