I’m off the scene, I admit it. What and where is Clubhouse Studios?
The recording studio of local sound engineer Jake Larson is the “what.” I couldn’t tell you the “where,” though.
I believe its a practice space for some local talent as well.
The money from this show is actually going to keep the entire building afloat. The building is not only home to Jake’s studio, but it’s also home to at least a half dozen bands in the area.
To the best of my knowledge, it’s the only building in Duluth dedicated to giving bands a place to make noise.
Everyone involved in the building pays rent, but the costs involved in keeping the place going are substantial and without doing the shows, the whole thing would probably fold.
As far as location, I’m afraid that’s top secret.
And around this time of the year, heat’s fuuuucking expensive.
Thanks for coming out, everybody! We’re back in the black and will live to rock another day.
