Christmas lights in Duluth

This is our third winter in Duluth (so we still consider ourselves newbies) and we’re wondering if anyone could recommend a good neighborhood/area for Christmas light displays or recommend a good route.  (Please be specific; I get lost easy, especially downtown.)

Thanking you sincerely in advance,
the NewKid

Exhibition Drive is always nice. If anyone in your party brings blackberry brandy and offers you some, refuse it.

There's a super big display near the end of Park Point - worth the drive.

Get lost and the lights will find you.

Depending on where you live, there are a lot of pockets of nice lights within each neighborhood. Here are a few suggestions.

Gary - Go up from the Milk House about four or five blocks. There's a cool house on the right. There are also several on the river-side of Commonwealth.

West Duluth - Try above Grand Avenue up to 8th St. between 47th and 40th. Several nice places there.

Lincoln Park - There's the coolest house on Chestnut St, just above 3rd St. (about 33rd Ave. W.) They go all out!

Exhibition Drive. But if you take Hutchinson Road up from Exhibition, it meets Chambersburg, and that neighborhood did a cool job this year.

Duluth Heights. A lot of homes lit up in the neighborhoods behind Walgreens, over to Arrowhead Road. If you're in the area, check out Anderson Road, too, just off Central Entrance (going towards Trinity Road). Very cool house there!

Overheard in Target, 10 p.m. Dec. 22 amid Christmas shoppers. I probably wouldn't have thought this was so funny before...
