Farmer Doug and Lois Hoffbauer , who sell xmas trees out of the farmer’s market, are offering these free trees to their neighbors. How nice is that?

  1. Glad we bought our tree from them this year, they seemed like very nice people and this proves it. We got a 6 footer from this year — much more manageable than last year’s 8 footer. . .

  5. Here’s the Hoffbauer’s blog--they were interviewed by WDIO for an article about the costs of real versus fake trees for Christmas. Link to the article on their blog: http://www.farmerdoug.com/whatsnew.htm

The Hoffbauer’s are great, and the University of Minnesota recognized such this year by awarding them the St. Louis County Farm Family of the Year.

  6. Locally Grown Fresh Christmas Trees and Decor

    From This Morning’s Newsletter:

    Good Morning everyone!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. After sleeping off the turkey dinner, I hope you are all ready to start your Christmas decorating.

You can get your locally grown and fresh Christmas tree at the Farmer’s Market.

We open TODAY! at 9am and will be open EVERY day until Christmas. The winter hours will be:

    M-F 1pm to 7pm
    S-S 9am to 6pm

    14th Ave. E. & 3rd ST., Duluth, MN 55812

You can shop indoors for your Christmas trees.
The tree will be shaken, wrapped and put on top of your cars.

Anyone need a wreath? We have sizes from 10 inches to 6 feet.

Our kissing balls are now back in stock, as we sold out at the Festival of the season.

Garland? Yes, we will make your garland to order, or you can pick up 25ft premade sections.

We also have spruce tips, dogwood, birch tops, and 4 varieties of Christmas trees. We also have fresh holly.

Yes, we have the Siberian Fir tree again this year. We do not have as many as last year, so if you want that beautiful tree, get in early.

Again, our trees our fresh. We just cut them this past week, finishing up on Wednesday. My wreath making crew has been working really hard, and the wreaths are made fresh every day.

I’m looking forward to a great Christmas season, and hope to see you all at the market.
