Album Side Thursday could become a once-a-month thing on KHQG. The next one will be in February, according to Corey Carter, operations manager at Midwest Communications.

He said the station is working on collecting albums and getting a turn-table that doesn’t skip as much.

Absolutely. That documentary was awesome. Word was they had been working on a similar set for Darkness on the Edge of Town. I don’t know if it fell through or what but I wait patiently for that and Tracks 2

I’m glad that you said The Raspberries instead of the Cranberries who suck royally.

Born to Run side A is superb indeed but I’d have a hard time going without Jungleland on the flip side.

Did you get the remastered box of Born to Run with the video of the making of the album and also the live DVD from ‘75?

Well I would have to suggest the greatest piece of rock n roll that has ever been pressed to viny. Born To Fucking Run Side A.

Thunder Road
Tenth Avenue Freeze Out
Night
Backstreets

The only thing that comes close is Side B.

I guess I’ll concede that Led Zeppelins Runes album Side A is also one of the greatest rock n roll sides to ever be pressed to vinyl.

But I’ll also say Side A of The Raspberries self titled debut.

2nd Vicarious on woodtick’s Waterboys choice. You guys are all too cool for me, I had to pick Boston! But it is a great classic rock side and does fit the format well, I bet they try it: That wicked organ solo on “Foreplay/Longtime” plus “More than a Feelin’” fades IN which is basically unheard of … It’s a great album side.
