To see the original image go to the UGM and visit the men's room. While you're there drop a buck in the donation box - they are doing an amazing amount of good work from a somewhat shabby facility. And maybe that's the answer to this whole puzzle, investing in people not buildings. Still I was hoping for some more history or anecdotes on this one. Tony D? Paul? Gremmels? Tim K? Baci? Surely one of you has something. I love this stuff local history stuff, I eat it up. I have been thinking about it most of the day and noticed that the drawing looks to close off a major transportaion artery. Perhaps a factor in not being built? Other factors could be general lack of funding and, or not being able to purchase the buildings in question. The closing of second street seems to be the big one. Interesting concept.
