Petus Rockus

Just a reminder that the Whacko Yard Art Photo Scavenger Hunt ends tonight at 10 p.m. There have been zero entries so far, but I know someone out there will answer the call.

I shot the photo above last week in West Duluth. The sign reads “Petus Rockus. This rock was found in Keene Creek, left here by the Wisconsin Glacier 23,648 years ago. Placed on this stand May 1985 by Ken Seehus.”

  1. OMG that is my ex-father in law’s pet rock! I can’t stop laughing!!! When we moved into the neighborhood my Dad told me not to play with those kids because obviously they are weird. 11 years or so later I married Ken’s son.

And apparently it took him days to move it from Keene’s creek to its home now in his yard.
