Hmmm … ’tis a fine line between “whacko” and “totally awesome.”
Awesome! Where the heck are these?
Sorry, I thought I had captioned these when I posted them. Anyway, they’re located along the North Shore Drive somewhere between Duluth and the Nokomis restaurant -- I think closer to the Nokomis than to Duluth. Not more than 6 or 8 miles out of town, if that.
The man who made/put these up needs to be interviewed. They look like they were constructed entirely out of Win.
My husband David is a metal artist and constructed the dinosaurs. If anyone would like to contact him, his E Mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org. He has metal art pieces for sale at the Art Dock on Canal Park in Duluth. I’m so happy to see these pictures.
“Roadside Modern Art” (David Wilcox from 1995′s East Asheville Hardware) I think this link will do it for you:
Don’t forget they made it into the Smithsonian (so to speak).
